Every review I came across showed how good they were. So, I decided to give Sheedy’s Doolin a try for the first time, and as expected, it did not disappoint.

Sheedy’s Doolin is located in the center of Doolin village and offers easy access to local pubs, restaurants, and attractions, just 5-10 walking minutes away. You can explore the stunning Cliffs of Moher, the unique landscape of The Burren, and the beautiful Aran Islands. The B&B is also just 4 kilometers from Doolin Cave and 48 kilometers from Shannon Airport.
Hospitality
As soon as I reached the B&B, I found Frank and Marian ready with their hospitality. They were very responsive before we arrived, made us feel welcome the moment we walked in the door, helped us secure dinner and music reservations, and offered up ideas of what to do in and around town. They have an Old English Sheepdog named Bertie, who is quite playful.
Frank trained as a chef at Galway GMIT, while Marian trained as a hotel manager. For twelve years, they ran Roadford House Restaurant and Accommodation. Their expertise was visible every step of the way. They always dreamed of building and operating their own business in the heart of Doolin, and today, they are living that dream. I loved how passionately they served us.
Breakfast
Their breakfasts! You can guess– one of the highlights of staying at Sheedy’s Doolin was the renowned gourmet breakfast. You won’t find a better breakfast anywhere. Perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The morning sideboard always looks like what you would find on a cooking magazine cover. You can enjoy a lavish buffet spread featuring Homemade granola shots, Fresh fruit salad, a Selection of cheeses, and Freshly baked bread.
Additionally, you can choose from a variety of perfectly cooked hot dishes, including a daily gourmet special. Breakfast is served in a spacious, well-lit dining room with views of The Aille River. Who wouldn’t be happy to enjoy such delicious food after a good night’s sleep?
Accommodation and Service
Yeah! I am assuring you about the quality of sleep. Their rooms were so nicely managed, from the walls to the pillows, everything was perfect. You have some options, from super king deluxe to twin and family rooms, all designed with a calm and restful color scheme. Each room comes equipped with Bamboo Pocket Sprung Mattresses, an en-suite shower, a Smart TV, a Nespresso Coffee Machine, and complimentary access to high-speed WiFi throughout the property.

Daly’s House

You won’t believe how long Daly’s House has been running! I was amazed to learn that this amazing B&B started back in 1984 with Susan and her husband Paul. Over the past thirty years, Daly’s House has grown from three bedrooms to six luxurious rooms, each with spectacular views. They also have some awards under their belt. As part of the expansion, Kate, Susan’s daughter, joined her in running the B&B. They both can’t wait to welcome you to Daly’s House.
Hospitality
As soon as I stepped into the B&B, I felt their warm hospitality. It’s hard to find a more inviting place to stay, eat, and relax. Their garden is one of my favorite spots—perfect for chatting and enjoying the views, surrounded by beautiful flowers and the company of visiting birds throughout the seasons. Susan and her family even joined us, sharing stories of Doolin and insider tips. Susan shared her sheet with the recommended tours of the Burren, and together, we felt like part of the family.

This B&B features six individually designed bedrooms, each offering a high standard of comfort and style. Room options include super-king, queen, double, and single orthopedic beds. All rooms are en-suite and equipped with modern amenities such as:

Susan’s cooking is simply wonderful. You can begin with a buffet, offering homemade granola shots, fresh fruit salad, a selection of cheeses, and much more. Then, sit back, relax, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere and garden views as they prepare one of the delicious made-to-order dishes for you, whether it’s a Full Irish Breakfast, French Toast, Omelettes, or something else from our menu. I loved the blue cheese omelet.
Overall, with the comfortable rooms, exceptional hospitality, and prime location, Daly’s House serves as an ideal retreat for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty and cultural richness of County Clare. I would love to revisit the place.

O’Learys Lodge B&B: the family-friendly place

O’Leary’s Lodge is nestled in the heart of the Burren Region. With beautiful views of the Cliffs of Moher and the wild Atlantic Ocean, this cozy retreat is the perfect base for exploring the area’s natural beauty. It is just 2 kilometers from the lively village of Doolin and 1 kilometer from the fascinating Doolin Cave. What stood out to me the most is that it is the most family-friendly B&B I have found. At O’Leary’s Lodge, families are welcomed with open arms. The B&B provides a Children’s Playground for kids to play around. The family rooms are spacious and suitable for larger families and you can even request children’s cots if needed.
Accommodation and Service
All the rooms are on the ground floor, making it easy for everyone to get around. An interesting part is that they are separate from the main house, ensuring a very quiet stay with great views of the countryside. Each room features a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, and free WiFi throughout. Each unit also offers a patio with garden views.
Breakfast
You don’t need to worry about breakfast either. It’s super organized! You get to pick from an extensive menu by filling out a request on paper before 10 pm the night before and you choose a time. This worked really well for me as I had a tight schedule. And the taste? Absolutely amazing! The granola was especially delicious. Plus, it’s great value for money with plenty of homemade goodies to choose from.

Location and Surroundings
Cahermaclanchy House B&B is a charming, family-run bed and breakfast located approximately 2.5 kilometers from the center of Doolin. It is located along the famous Wild Atlantic Way and serves as an excellent base for exploring North Clare and the beautiful Burren region. The bed and breakfast is just a 3-minute drive or a 20-minute walk to Doolin.
Just outside town, we pulled in and met Martin on his way to his son’s football game. He showed us the room and it was huge. The setting was stunning — the rural setting, farm animals not too far off, and distant views of the sea made this stay quite unique. Our small apartment was set up well and was extremely clean.

The breakfast the following morning was very pleasant. You can enjoy a hearty Irish breakfast made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The menu typically includes a variety of options, such as traditional Irish fare, homemade breads, fresh fruit, and more.
Hospitality
The hosts were too awesome. Their exceptional hospitality and attention to detail made me amazed. You could easily request them for special dietary needs. Guests have praised the warm welcome and personalized service they receive. Martin gave us tips on the area including Russell’s for dinner and it was excellent.
In a word, I loved everything about this place. The decor is lovely, place was spotlessly clean and everything was to a high standard. I will definitely return.
St. Catherines- the place for your furry friend

St. Catherine’s B&B is a delightful and welcoming bed and breakfast situated just 3 kilometers from the traditional music village of Doolin and 2 kilometers from Doolin Cave. It is located in the heart of the countryside yet close to the vibrant village of Doolin, perfectly positioned for exploring the beauty of County Clare. Shannon Airport is also conveniently located just 46 kilometers away, making it easily accessible for travelers.
Why Special?
Let’s talk about the best part- they allow dogs in their B&B! It is a rare case as far as I have seen. So, if you want to bring your furry friend, you know whom to choose. And that’s not the end.

Hospitality
You can already tell how much attention Maria gives to details. She is attentive and friendly and yet not overly so, she was on hand to make us feel welcome and to ensure that our visit to her home and to Doolin was as enjoyable as possible. She is known for her warm and attentive hospitality. Her local knowledge and tips make the visit even better. We asked for a pub suggestion. Maria suggested McDermott’s which was perfect for us.
Breakfast
Her cooking is perfect too! You will find fully cooked choices with generous portions and a large variety of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, and amazing brown bread! She asked us what we would have the night before and as we reached the dining, it was already prepared and beautifully plated. The coffee was yummy and hot, and the toast was excellent! There were plenty of snacks to take with us for our hike too. She treated the guest dog a couple of sausages too.
