1. About Emerald Diary

Emerald Diary ("we", "us", "our") is a monthly postal subscription service operating from Ireland. By subscribing to or purchasing from Emerald Diary, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

2. Subscriptions

Subscriptions are billed monthly at €9.00. Your subscription begins on the date of purchase. You will be charged on the same date each subsequent month.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months.

You may pause your subscription for up to 2 months per year. No charges are made during a pause period.

3. Gift Subscriptions

Gift subscriptions are one-time purchases at €25 (3 months), €48 (6 months), or €90 (12 months). Gift codes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Gift purchases are non-refundable once the redemption code has been used.

If a gift code is lost, contact us at hello@emeralddiary.com and we will reissue it.

4. Delivery

Letters are posted on the 1st of each month via An Post. We cannot guarantee exact delivery dates but typically letters arrive within 2–5 working days in Ireland.

We are not responsible for delays caused by An Post or other postal services. If a letter is confirmed lost, we will resend at no charge.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. All prices are in Euro (€) and include any applicable VAT. By completing a purchase, you confirm you are aged 18 or over.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in Emerald Diary letters — including text, characters, illustrations, and the Wren character — is our intellectual property. It may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.

7. Children

This service is purchased by adults on behalf of children. Children may not directly purchase subscriptions or interact with this website. By subscribing, you confirm you are the parent or guardian of the child named on the subscription.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
